Looking for high quality, well-fitting simple 3-season pants for cold climate. Kuhl? Fjallraven?

Not jeans as I have plenty of those but cotton canvas, twill or something similar - blends are fine too. They should be mid-weight to heavy-weight so my legs aren’t cold in 20 degree weather. Ideally they would have a little stretch in them and be somewhat modern fitting and simple looking. I’m not looking for cargo pants or workwear pants.

I like the Kuhl Ryder pants but I’ve read mixed reviews on the quality. Would Fjallraven be a good brand to consider. Others?
