8.01 GPA straight away puts you below 80 percentile of all applicants of C3 criteria. That means you did not do well enough in undergrad.

the second on the list is commerce with 28. 10x less than eng.

70% males, 69% engineering. Almost 49% of the batch. That is 233.

Only taking the example of ABC, there are 700 engineers ahead of one.
That is, after admission. I do not have the data for PI pre-admission. The numbers would be comparatively higher.
That is, ignoring the other 2000 ish who would not appear for cat because they do not want to. I understand people want to achieve their dreams and do well in life, but the fact is that engineering is quite over-represented in management spaces here. The competition is high, unfortunately.

But that is not an opportunity for you to put down other people, ever. Not talking about OP, mainly but the comments.

The comments are quite sickening.

I would not want a manager like this, ever.
