Synopsis + Final Review/rating: The Legend of Anle (2023) - A decidedly average half-way house adaptation only made watchable by its cast

So I have recently finished The Legend of Anle (2023) and let's just say I have... thoughts.

For those who have not watched it, I wrote a spoiler-free Synopsis, with a link to the trailer.

For those who have, I wonder who else shares my feelings on this one? In short, I was disappointed, because despite the potential, I really think the script writers and directors have dropped the ball in opting for a strange romcom-revenge pastiche instead of a dark epic. Nirvana in Fire this most definitely is not.
