Ruyi's Royal Love in the Palace: Should I keep watching?

Ok, so after watching The Story of Yanxi Palace, I wanted more, so I thought, why not take up Ruyi's Royal Love....um...yeah, it's not working.

Does it get better? I'm on episode 18, and man it's boring! And it doesn't help that Ruyi is so low energy, she always sounds like she's lying down or just waking up from a nap.
