Best Advisor Development Program

Hello all, I recently posted in here regarding wanting to change careers after seeing my decline in business as a mortgage loan originator. I’ve been a loan originator for the past 4 years and things aren’t improving and want some stability and security for a job.

I was wondering which advisor development program is the best for someone in my position. I’m in Long Island NY, so it’s pretty populated with high net worth clients and a lot of different offices and companies.

My uncle works for Merrill Lynch and helped spark the interest in becoming a FA. Although he claims Merrill is the best, the training program is through BoA and I would be at a local BoA branch for almost 3 years before I become a full advisor. I’m not really keen on working at a bank like that, was also looking into Morgan Stanley’s program and some other small ones.

Any advice on where the best spot to train and get all my licenses (series 7, 66/67, SEI) would be greatly appreciated.
