Selling a Cello in Chicago

I need help selling a cello in the Chicago area. I unfortunately no longer have time to play and have to pay my college tuition. I feel like I have emailed every music store in the state, even reaching into WI. I had it listed on Reverb and then was scammed with a fake check, I lost almost 2 grand and am currently in the process of disputing that charge. I do have it listed on eBay, but I am now untrusting and suspicious of online buyers. I will probably also list on Craigslist after this, but I am desperate. I could really use some help.
