The amount of people who excuse what happens in the Squid Game season 2 finale baffle me

Seriously, seeing SO MANY people go, "Gi-hun was right to make the sacrifice for the greater good" is concerning. They're missing the entire point of that scene because they don't want admit the MC is a flawed character.

The whole point of this season was a clash of ideals between Gi-hun and the Front Man. The Front Man wanted to see if Gi-hun was right. This was confirmed by his actor. A part of the Front Man is rooting for Gi-hun to be right about everything he's saying. That humanity is worth it. That the games are wrong.

The Front Man is just and broken and traumatized as Gi-hun. But he's embraced the games instead. Gi-hun wants to stop them.

The exact moment the Front Man wins, even before the betrayal, is when Gi-hun decides to let the other X's be killed. No matter what you say, this is NOT justifiable. Gi-hun could've very easily gone up and warned the other X's about the attack so they could at least TRY to fight back and have a chance.

Instead, he actively lets his teammates be butchered so they can have a chance to fight back. At this moment, the Front Man has already won. Gi-hun's desire for revenge has made him go from, "nobody should die" to "yeah, we can let a few people die." You can even see the Front Man's smirk when asks, "so we make a sacrifice for the greater good?"

Gi-hun is just as responsible for the Se-mi as people like to blame Min-su for it. Which shows they hypocrisy of the fandom. People really say, "all he had to do was jump a dude with a weapon that was bigger and stronger than him." All Gi-hun had to do was just warn people and prepare them to fight back. He couldn't even do that much.

Tldr; you aren't supposed to defend/excuse Gi-hun's actions in the finale. He's MEANT to be a flawed character and this is the prime example of that.
