Diabetes and Statins

The PA told me that she never heard about statins will increase blood sugar or even increasing the chance of diabetes, and asked me to immediately take statins no matter what. She believes my number can only to to about 190-200, I had 234 LDL.

Now it’s 170 LDL.. after lifestyle change for 1.5month…

Is that true that side effect can be ignored, almost all of my family member has serious or slight blood sugar problem, so I kind of thinking I’m also at risk, AND i dont wanna be at risk just blindly taking med..

Thoughts? I have made an appointment with a cardio doctor next week for my first time, btw i’m 31 yo man

Given that’s a long term committment, i dont want to take some drugs that’s not “yet” impact me, doesn’t mean that wouldn’t… while I am pretty much vulnerable to diabetes.
