Relationship between coffee and ldl
I am trying to reduce my ldl. Right now, I have eliminated red meet and dairy. However, I do use a little bit of oil (Corn and/or Olive) for cooking. One food that I reduced is coffee. I used to drink one large cup of filtered coffee and one semi-large cup of coffee (Mixed: hot water, sugar, milk-reduced fat, and instant coffee). I eliminated the second one. I dont want to go back to the milk-based coffee, but I wish I could have one more large cup of filtered coffee (I use Premium Blend McCafe to make it - I dont think this brand is great but I like it).
I did a bit of digging and found coffee is not good for ldl. However, I am not able to find how much the filtered coffee increases ldl. Most studies said filtered coffee increases ldl just a little. Is there any number instead of subjective amount (a little). Any insight is highly appreciated.
