Why does God allow there to be multiple religions, some of which are not so far from the truth?

I understand why war and all the atrocities in the world exist, I understand why pain exists, all of this has a logic for me in the logic of God,But the fact that there are several religions I do not understand, I know that it is a trick of the devil but why does God let this happen? I think it must be terribly difficult to see the light when you are born and raised in a religion not so far from Christianity, it is even harder to be able to access the Heaven
