How long have you been playing this game, what’s your first memory and what’s kept you going all these years?

Finally was able to track the first time i downloaded coc to calculate how many years it’s been since i started playing. Crazy that it’s been 12 years and that 10 year old me downloaded just 6-7 months from its official launch.

My first memory, is very clear in my mind after all these years. I was at a relatives wedding, getting bored after probably running around everywhere ( I was 10 yo😂) and sat on a couch to start playing subway surfers on my iPod. As I loaded the game I saw a COC advert showcasing base building and unique attacking gameplay which made me curious enough to instantly download the game. Anyways ever since that day I went on to play the game regularly till th10 was the highest townhall (lavaloon with rages and freezes were soo good💀)

After that left for boarding school and never got back into the grind, just a bit of casual play putting stuff on upgrade every other month. After all that I came back to the proper grind somewhere around June 2023 being a th12. The super troops were new to me and the super arch / wiz blimps blew my mind lmao, couldn’t wait to master these new armies . Been playing everyday again and feels great ngl. Hero Equipment made it even more exciting for me since it gave me an extra reason to grind the game everyday.

I guess the main reason we all still play / come back after years of break is because we’ve invested too much time into it already😂😭
