What makes you a “ thani malayali” ?

I know I know we are malayalis pakshe what really makes you one ? If you are settled outside Kerala especially , what specific thing or things makes you feel like one ?

Most of my high schooling was done in Saudi so at the time , uchak roomil chorum curry m vekkune oru smell ondarnu and that made me feel like a malayali. Also canteen il edayk puffs kittuaarnu and that too.
