How would you prepare mahi mahi without using garlic or lemon juice?

I have two mahi mahi fillets I need to make tonight, and the only way I’ve ever made it has always been to make garlic parsley butter on the stove, then squeeze in fresh lemon juice after I take the butter off the heat. Then I salt the fish, pan sear on high heat then finish in the oven, spoon the butter sauce over the fish and serve.

I’ve been having a lot of new food sensitivities lately and lemon juice and garlic have really been upsetting my stomach so I want to try to make the fish in a different way tonight. Does anyone have any spice or flavor profile recommendations that pair well with mahi mahi? I’m going to have it over rice pilaf with a vegetable.
