Unlined stitch-down, a test

The unlined stitch-down construction is a bit of a problem for hobbyists like me without access to an industrial lasting press. I hope that this slightly unusual insole will help. The insole is molded on the last first and becomes some sort of inner cup sole that includes the toe puff and the heel counter. This in turn offers plenty of surface to glue the upper to when lasting (thinking about using Hirschkleber here as it has a decent open time). Therefore, the upper should be kept tight to the last when removing the nails to flare the upper out along the feather line. What do you think? Are there simpler ways?
