What are your thoughts, hopes, and concerns in regards to the King Of The Hill Revival?
The king of the hill subreddit is mostly great but like most of reddit it does lean a certain way and discussing certain things about the show will bring out a loud minority of people that make it about politics ( despite politics being discussed there is against the rules) so figured I'd post here. But I will say the mods there are better than most but wish they were more active.
But what are your thoughts on the KOTH revival show,? Personally I'm not holding my breath due to other recent animated sitcom revivals being pretty meh and preachy.
Hardwick dying ( Dale gribbles voice actor) was personally the nail in the coffin for me. He's my favorite character and his sudden death is sad and to me is the universe saying to just drop the revival all together. I think replacing him with another VA will ultimately not please anybody. Others suggest they give him a voice box cause he's smoking or even worse ...replace him with AI.
Personally I think they should kill him off give him a funeral episode and be done with it. Throw in a line how adult Joseph is convinced he was abducted by aliens .
Another concern is Huss (Khan's VA) not returning cause a white guy voicing an Asian is " problematic" Which I bet was Hulu telling him to say that. He was great as Khan and cotton and the lotion community has given him honorary awards for his representation of the loas community.
A lot of the fandom thinks KOTH was woke and I feel like they were watching a different show. It was pretty apolitical and poked light fun at both sides. Fans suggest they want Bobby the be gay or LGBT dale to be maga ( which is against dales character he hates the government)
But my opinion is sometimes it's best to let sleeping dogs lay.
Your thoughts?
