Klover King
Hey, everyone! I was scrolling through TikTok recently and stumbled upon an account exposing some really sketchy stuff about this LA street food vendor named Klover King (real name: Christopher Bailey). At first, I thought he seemed like a good guy—he talks about helping wildfire victims and feeding the homeless. But after diving deeper, things aren’t what they seem.
Apparently, this guy has been running a long-term scam under the guise of philanthropy. He even created something called the “Christopher Bailey Foundation,” which seems to have no real transparency about where money donations go. People donate money thinking they’re helping a cause, but… it seems like it’s going in his pockets.
Here’s what the TikTok account points out: • He was allegedly using EBT cards to buy food, claiming it was for homeless people on Skid Row, and portraying it as he was buying with his own hard earned money. Instead, he apparently turned the food into cash through donations during his TikTok Lives. • Now, he’s pulling the same move, but with the California wildfire victims. He’s gotten cash and in-kind donations worth tens of thousands of dollars and has a GoFundMe. • He’s recruited a whole team of people from his addiction recovery program to do this with him. They all act as street food vendors but don’t have permits, food safety training, or even handling permits. Some of the stuff they’ve shared on social media about their operations is honestly terrifying from a public health perspective.
To make it worse, this guy has gotten major sponsors and is now operating at the Santa Anita Racetrack, which turned into a huge donation event, making him look more legit. He was even trying to get on the Kelly Clarkson Show, but apparently, that didn’t pan out once they did some digging on him.
I feel like people need to know about this since they apparently have been all over the news like these model citizens. It’s one thing to hustle, but exploiting people’s goodwill during disasters? That’s next level. I admit he even got some of my money through GoFundMe. When I got more information, I retracted my donation.
If you’re curious, the TikTok account that breaks some if itdown is KloverKonAgency.
Not sure what can be done, but I at least wanted to spread awareness. People deserve to know where their donations are really going!
