Hot Take: There isn't enough loss in the game currently.
This will be a hot take, but the goblin dungeon recovery system does not work for this game like the insurance system works for Tarkov. In Tarkov, you use the merchants for gear for the most part, and finding gear is not as abundant unless fighting players, bosses, etc. Even in Tarkov, the insurance has a 12-24hr timer before it remotely comes back at the least.
However in Dark and Darker, you get tons of gear, it's one of the main drops in the game, and you are always getting more. And with the increased drop rates and changes to the loot tables last season it's been even more. Not everyone will loot all your stuff and you get your stuff back instantly after a raid ends with the recovery, resulting many times in just getting a decent amount of your kit back. Essentially I've noticed you generally aren't losing enough compared to how much you can get. It's also evident in the prices on the market, a lot of gear is just much cheaper than it ever used to be because there is just so much of it. I genuinely don't think there should be a recovery system like Tarkov's insurance system in this game when gear is so abundant.
So I suggest that the goblin dungeon recovery system be removed, however, bring back the dungeon expressman but put him in the dungeon itself where he can randomly appear in areas. Similar to the Btr from Tarkov. And make him guaranteed to extract what you give him out of the dungeon instead of a "chance" like before. The recovery system could be repurposed to only bring your stuff back if your teammate extracted it. I believe Arena Breakout Infinite does something akin to this. This is pretty useful for team-filled parties as you are playing with random players instead of a pre-made. It does seem to do something like this already from what I've noticed but that's all it should do.
