As someone who LOVED Dead Space 1, and thought 2 was pretty OK, is Callisto Protocol worth a playthrough if the game is free through Epic Games?

Loved the Original, thought 2 was pretty OK, and just replayed through both of them last week. I just saw that Callisto Protocol is going free next week on the EGS and was thinking about giving it a go, but I've heard some mixed things about the game. Even the main creator himself seemed not too thrilled about it in a recent interview I watched.

Is it worth it? The time investment would be more important to me than the price, but as long as the quality is somewhere between DS 1 and 2 I personally think it'd be worth it.

EDIT: So looks like I'll probably at least give it a shot. I've played quite a few games that didn't grip me at all in the first half, but blew my mind in the second, so I usually make it a point to play games all the way through, but this seems like one where I won't be missing out if I never finish it.

EDIT 2: So I made it to part right after the first robot, where the light goes out in the shower area (maybe 10 minutes in), a guy attacked me, I died immediately, realized I had zero interest in anything going on around me, and quit. Everything from the animations to the QTEs just made it feel almost like I wasn't even controlling the character. Maybe if I ever get a wild hare up my ass I might play it again, but honestly I'm pretty doubtful.
