Recoil

So have a concern.

I play with a couple friends normally. All we play is operations. I noticed recently, my teammates and seems like opponents as well, have little to no recoil. My guns kick to the damn sky but a buddy who is terrible at fps is lasering people with ease. Am I missing something? Are there settings to use? Or am I just plain bad?

Any help is appreciated.
