I'm about to study in Denmark and I'm struggling a lot with the language.

Hello, I am moving to Aarhus in 2 weeks for university. I've been studying Danish for around 3 months and I can read, write and speak alright for the knowledge I have but I cannot do any of the listening exercises. So many of the words feel the same when connected in sentences and it feels like more than half are getting skipped during speaking or are just connected to well with the other words you cannot understand where one word ends and another starts. This isn't my first time learning a foreign language but I've never had such a big problem with listening. I've studied both English and German as foreign languages and it was never so difficult to understand them without reading a transcript of what someone is saying.

Sadly, since Danish is also a fairly rare language, it is hard for me to find external ways to expose myself to the language(in a simple enough context that I could at least connect the dots with my limited vocabulary) outside of the book I have. If anyone here has any tips and suggestions, I'd be happy to hear them. I'll be studying in English but I still want to learn Danish well enough to speak with the locals and also get a job.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
