Season 8

I’m currently like 5 episodes away from finishing the series for my first time ever. I have briefly heard people express their major dislike for season 8 and I’m just finding it hard to understand why. It definitely doesn’t have the same vibe as the earlier seasons and isn’t as captivating as the previous ones but i went into season 8 thinking it would be a lot worse then it was from the things I’ve read. What’s with the dislike?
