Trauma of Long Living Guardians

The other day I came across a YouTube video about a ghost who had revived someone who had died something like 13,000 years before the collapse and how they had to adjust to their new world.

This prompted someone in the comments to ask about the well-being of a guardian that just wouldn’t die and didn’t ever need to be revived. Would they age? Would they develop PTSD? Lose their minds just from being alive so long?

I misread the comment thinking they asked about guardians who had just existed for a long time in general so I pointed to Zavala, The Drifter, Shaxx and Saladin as examples since they have been around longer than The Last City has but they also have died plenty of times

Someone replied and pointed out my misunderstanding but it got me thinking back to a grimoir card I read back in D1 about the Thanonauts

A group of guardians I think specifically warlocks who had believed there was some knowledge to be gained in those little moments of death when you’re waiting for your ghost to revive you. So they would kill themselves and have their ghost wait a moment before reviving them It’s implied that the guardian is still somewhat conscious as the guardian in the card is calling to his ghost to revive him but is getting no answer. This implies that there is no knowledge lost between lives, possibly even gained while you’re dead.

So how do guardians handle living so long while being in constant danger? Are the old guys I mentioned above great examples of how one can Be Brave and Become Legend? Or does the ghost mitigate the effects of stress like they do feelings of Starvation?
