From Dhaka to Canada and Back: A Tech Journey! Studied CS abroad, worked there, came back to start a tech company, and got married along the way. AMA!
As-sala-mo-alai-kum everyone! Long-time lurker, first-time poster here 👋
I've been following this sub for quite a while and thought it's time to be a bit more present in the community. I'm a Bangladeshi tech entrepreneur who went from growing up in Dhaka to studying Computer Science in Canada, working there and in the US for a bit, and coming back home to start my own tech company (got married around the same time as well).
These days, I'm running a startup where we're building tech products and working with international clients. Pretty wild to think about how far this journey has come from those early days in Dhaka!
I have noticed there is a lot of interest in tech careers, studying abroad, politics, entrepreneurship and even marriage in this sub. Since I've experienced some aspects of it, I thought it might be helpful to do an unofficial AMA. Whether you're curious about studying in Canada, the tech industry, or building a startup back home - I'm happy to share my experiences and answer any questions you might have!
Looking forward to being more active in the community and connecting with you all!
AMA! 🚀
P.S. My replies might not be that instant but I will try my best to reply to all comments eventually!
P.S. 2 - Because I am a bit reserved online as well, I might be a bit hesitant to share exact details but will try my best to provide as much detail as possible.
