Movies are like a railroaded DnD

The more I DM and play, the more I notice railroads in most of cinematic and books. Authors want to include some beautiful scene or plot flip and characters go/pushed straight to it.

The last one was Fallout series. Nice series, actually, but consists of a bucket of scenes which are mostly do not logically connected really. When it needed by plot MCs will do whatever it takes to jump into new one. The epitome, probably, was when two MCs, one of which was severly wounded, divided while searching some medical facility to get captured and draged to a new location.
