Krakatoa
Weapon (Longsword) | Very Rare | Requires Attunement
"Build a man a fire, and he'll be warm for a day. Set a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life." -Terri Pratt Krakatoa is a longsword forged in the heart of a living volcano, its blade a dark, molten red that pulses with an inner heat. The hilt is crafted from obsidian, smooth yet incredibly durable, with a crossguard shaped like flowing lava. The pommel is set with a glowing ember, constantly radiating a faint warmth.
Molten Shell. While attuned to Krakatoa, you have resistance to fire damage and your melee attacks ignore fire resistance.
Erupting Strike. When you hit a creature with this weapon, it deals an additional 2d6 fire damage as flames flare up from the attack. Once per turn, you can cause these flames to erupt, forcing all hostile creatures within 10 feet of the target to take damage equal to half the fire damage.
Scorched Earth. As an action, you can plunge the sword into the earth and cause it to erupt with volcanic power. The ground within a 10-foot radius of you becomes molten and difficult terrain for 1 minute and any creature that starts its turn in this area takes 3d10 fire damage. An attuned creature can use a free hand to hold on to the plunged sword, making them immune to this effect while doing so. You can choose to remove the sword from the earth without using an action, ending this effect early when you do so.
Once you use this property, you cannot do so again until the next dawn.
