Okay I’m back with side by side comparisons of just how bad the quality of docs have become.

Last night, I thought it would be funny and informative to share how the three new pairs of docs I’ve purchased in the past year have fallen apart immediately, and a lot of people were up in arms about the creasing of these boots I shared and the fact that I kept trying to find a new pair. The post is filled with comments of “why keep buying them?” with my reasoning being that they haven’t always been this crappy. Here, I have my newest boots side by side with shoes, far older, that have almost no visible creasing until you look closely. I have worn both older pairs to tonnnnns of concerts, into mosh pits, across countries, and all throughout big cities, and I’ve never once polished or conditioned them (not a brag just possibly helpful info). Heck, the 9 year old pair were my serving shoes for two years in a restaurant that I walked between 7-8 miles in daily. They have so much mileage on them and to me, look like they are in better shape than my ones purchase only a few months ago. Your docs are meant to be worn and worn well, they should NOT be falling apart this easily because “you stand too much in them” or because “leather shoes just crease.” I won’t be trying to buy any new pairs for a while since I feel like I’ve lost all hope with their brand as it currently is. I hope this post is helpful to somebody out there that might be gaslighting their self into thinking their shoes are breaking down quickly because of how they are wearing them.
