curious on people's thoughts on the revamped gameplay loop of The Dark Ages

Was rewatching the interview with Hugo and Marty on the dark ages and them talking about how they essentially wanted the game to have an emphasis on weaving through enemy projectiles almost like a shmup really wowed me. I'm curious to know what everybody thinks about the new direction they're taking for the pacing and gameplay loop for TDA. personally, I have complete faith in ID and this is sort of the exact thing I was hoping the next doom game would be.
