Daima needs further explanation on how magic works

I have always had 1m questions about magic, considering it's the 2nd power source that seemingly is haxy in nature or granting one the ability to do things ki users cannot but....there are plenty things I've seen a ki user do that a "magic user" can.

I want to know what's the benifit to someone sticking with magic as their main line of defense opposed to magic. Where does magic come from? How does one learn magic? Does it work in a similar fashion to how ki does in terms of someone being more powerful the more ki they likely have or you don't have to have a large Magical reserve to be powerful??? Cuz the way glorio was talking shi like he could beat goku with his magic then got rocked is....insane.

I mean it looks diffrent only by color choice....? Another thing that bothers me is unless the person verbatim says "hey I'm using magic" how do you know the diffrence???

I need more dragonball magic explanatory lore.
