Laced/Cut/Adulterated Weed: A problem of the 2020s
I know I know.
You probably think I sound paranoid and goofy. Especially if your an older head.
Before, cutting marijuana seemed illogical and counter productive and a loss of profit.
But... times are changing.
""Low-THC (Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol) cannabis adulterated with synthetic cannabinoid receptor agonists (SCRAs) emerged in early 2020.
•
The most commonly seen adulterant was the highly potent MDMB-4en-PINACA.
•
By April 2020, 9 drug checking services in 8 countries identified this adulteration.
"
So, you see, they have been lab testing black market marijuana and finding synthetics on it.
Here are some more lab results:

Most of these samples seem to be coming from Switzerland and Austria.
Here is a video from Vice exposing the synthetic cannabinoid problem in Germany : https://youtu.be/fSjzOYmFIsg
Here is a video from a industry insider claiming a majority of weed in the US is actually sprayed hemp : https://youtu.be/Y5cmetD-So8
Not to mention all the delta8 products that are being passed off as the real thing or being used as cut.
Does that mean it's a common occurrence or happening all the time? Does this prove its a problem in the USA? No.
But there is literal tangible evidence of marijuana being laced with synthetics in the 2020s.
It doesn't take much time to look into this and see it's true.
The info is out there.
Again I realize it sounds crazy and insane. Before the 2020s lacing weed is very uncommon and almost just conspiracy material.
Dismissing this as "all myth" is negligent and harmful. There have been 3 cases of people being hospitalized due to adulterated marijuana products.
"1142 samples sold as cannabis in herbal, resin and e-liquid form were analyzed, of which 270 were found to contain MDMB-4en-PINACA. All cannabis samples contained low THC (<1%), except the e-liquids which contained no phytocannabinoids. Three serious health incidents requiring hospitalization after use of an adulterated cannabis sample were reported.'

So, how many of you are experiencing problems with laced/cut weed? How many are even aware this is happening??
What steps are you taking to avoid this shit? I only cop from the dispo or someone who I personally knew grew it.
But for those in black market areas you may have a lack of choice.
Total legalization is the only option at this point in my opinion.
