Reporting a leak on the Eight Sleep App - a reflection in tough times

Well, it finally happened to me. After a little over two years, my Pod 2 and I are parting ways-- it was a one-sided breakup. As I felt the wetness under my pillow, I realized, "oh shit, your day has come". It's a very sad event, having a leaking Eight Sleep; I know this community is passionate, so hopefully I'm not the only one who can related.

But after I reported the leak in the Eight Sleep app and took the time to bag up my failed Pod cover, I wanted to take a moment to appreciate a nice touch from the Eight Sleep team. On the form to report the leak, they added a question that read "We're here to listen. If there's anything else you'd like to share with us, we're here to listen and see how we can make things right for you."

I think we all generally come to depend on our Pods, and appreciate them. I know we tend to have strong feelings about this company (I mean, I don't want to have to subscribe for good sleep after I've paid for a premium product). But this one little message, this opportunity to be heard, gives me faith. I hope that the Eight Sleep team will make things right for me, and I appreciate their willingness to listen.

EDIT: Lol Eight Sleep customer support told me I have to pay up because my cover was 2 months out of warranty. What a dick move 🖕
