Mage Help - Sticky Melee Dudes

How do you deal with melee players who get up in your face? Hammer doesn’t really work as it’s easily dodged. I feel like zamor ice storm doesn’t really either. How do you deal?

The chilling mist spell? A weapon with spinning slash? Gravity missile aimed at feet is also dodged.

Anyone have some really good tricks for an 80 int 150 mage?
