TV turning black after like 5mins, restarting fixes it for 5mins

I have this TV we still had in our basement and I got some weird problems with it. I have this issue where it just randomly turns black after like 5mins of use. Weird part: the sound still works and it also recognizes inputs. just nothing shown not even the settings. so no hdmi problem or something like that. Even weirder is that I just have to turn it off and on for it to work for another few minutes just for it to turn black again.

Do you guys have ideas what causes this? should I just buy a new tv or is this fixable?
