How do people make their entrepreneurial operations sound more legitimate without employees?
For context, I'm 21yo, have a Finance BS, and previously worked at a trading startup before quitting to trade full-time using my own capital. I have treated trading as a part-time job for about 2-3 years, and made it my full-time job about 6 months ago. I would consider myself to be highly successful, easily in the top 99th percentile of my age cohort, maybe even 99.9th percentile honestly.
The issue is that whenever I tell people that I "trade full-time" I feel like that comes off as if I'm just an uneducated and unemployed guy that dicks around on r/WSB lol
Could I technically say that I operate a trading startup? Sure I could, but running a "startup" that's just me feels tacky. I don't need any employees though, so I don't have any
Has anyone been in a similar situation where they are doing something full-time, but not seriously enough to consider themselves an actual "business owner"? Particularly referring to trading/investing and other similar financial services
Maybe it's just imposter syndrome, but I just don't want to sound like a wannabe Jordan Belfort lol
