Advice on buying today versus tomorrow
I've found a good deal on the truck I want -- XLT ER with max tow in one of the colors I like. It's $11,000 off MSRP including the $7,500 IRS credit at point of sale.
But there's all this talk of Ford changing invoicing on February 9th, which is tomorrow. From what I've read, that might lead to 4% off the XLT. But this dealer has already marked it down 4.7% (not including the IRS credit).
(Side note: I hate that discounting is so confusing -- the article and a dealer I've talked to make it sound like Ford dealers are not currently allowed to discount the EVs, but clearly one I found is.)
Do I pull the trigger today to make sure I get the exact truck I want? Or do I gamble and see if prices drop tomorrow?
