Completed FFVII Rebirth After 156 Hours - My Views about the Game 10/10

Today, I at last completed Rebirth after about 156 hours of adventuring and wanted to share my views with other fans of the game.

This game is my GOTY of 2024 that I enjoyed much more than the critics' GOTY of the year, i.e. Astrobot (though my 4-year-old kid was ecstatic when his favorite game won the award last year).

Apart from Chapter 9, I found all the chapters highly entertaining. Also, I had a great time completing all side-quests, including Queen's Blood, Chadley's intel and the Gilgamesh quests. But I skipped the last one - Gold Saucer high score quest - as I found it a bit boring.

Having played the original FFVII 26 years before, the game was a treat to the eyes, seeing all my favorite characters in 4K glory. I loved the original, and had a blast playing this game from the start till the end as well.

The final boss fight was a pure work of art that I found highly entertaining. The part about Briggs was confusing, but I was glad that Zack survived. I found Aerith's trial story and ending a bit sad, but it was good to see that the devs showed her alive in another dimension that only Cloud could see.

Overall, this was a gem of a game from Square Enix and I can't wait to continue the journey of Cloud and the gang in the final part of the series.
