"I GOT CASH"

My asking price is $100 and the item I'm selling is in nearly new condition. I included receipts showing I paid $150 + tax.

Dude: "would you do $40?"

Me: "No, I might be willing to go $75. That's already half of what I paid."

Them: "well I got $50 cash and I can pick it up today!"

WHAT makes people think that that's going to suddenly convince us to take their lowball offer? 🙄 I already only accept cash and my post says must pick up anyway, so that's, like, the barest minimum of what I'm already asking. It's not enticing at all.
