Anyone having trouble with FFN private messaging lately?

I'll admit I wasn't sure if this was the right sub for this, but FFN tech support is useless, and I've seen people post about similar things here before but with few details.

A buddy of mine and I who met on FFN have been messaging each other and they mentioned having trouble with the PM system on their end and thus taking a while to reply. And one message sent twice for some reason when it finally worked.

Now I'm having a similar issue. I try to send a reply. I send the message and get the usual "Message Sent

Your private message has been sent to [x]. It could take several minutes before the message arrives at the user's email account."

But it doesn't appear in the chain/thread/whatever you call it, the thing with all the messages in a given conversation in it, and I go back, and the message is still saved as a draft but unsent. I've done this like ten times now.

Is this something the site just has happen sometimes that we need to wait until its fixed or is there a solution on our ends we can use? I just need to tell them my Discord so we can switch to that.
