A different view point…

In season 1 Bode and Gaby meet and sparks fly. Feeling developed and they fell in love. However Gaby wouldn’t commit to Bode because he was still in prison. That’s reasonable and a smart mind set. At the end of season 1 the DA screws Bode and Bode is forced to take the fall for his friend and abandons Gaby.

Season 2 what does Gaby do? She makes a terrible decision and agrees to marry a man she doesn’t love. Why? Because she’s hurting inside. Now some of you are going to trash her and call her names but let me remind you that some of during heartbreak haven’t made the best choices. Jumping into relationships when we shouldn’t, sleeping with somebody to ignore the pain ect ect. At the end of the day Gaby made her choice and she should own up to her decision. Actions have consequences after all.

Season 3 starts with the aftermath of that decision and Gaby’s spiral. She was left with massive wedding bills, went broke and lost her apartment. All while reconnecting with Bode. Now Bode comes in with the mindset of hey I’m out of prison. I’m done waiting and want to be with you. Gaby in my opinion wasn’t in the right place to start a relationship won’t commit to Bode again. We can also argue that part of that stems from Bodes abandonment in season one. Bode decides to walk away and focus on firefighting and once again leaves Gaby. Gaby once again who is already in a downwards spiral makes a bad decision and because she’s hurting sleeps with Jake. Again actions have consequences and those consequences are remain to be seen.

At the end of the day people can hate on Gaby, call her names and wish death on the character. It’s whatever. But haven’t all the characters had their share of ups and downs? They’ve all made bad decisions or done stupid things. Hell Bode just makes bad choice after bad choice lol. So does Jake. No character is exempt from being human and being stupid.
