DYI terrazzo

Has anyone who has installed their own terrazzo (concrete) willing to share some of their experiences? Seems to still be one of those black holes of the internet where all searches lead to to someone wanting to connect you with a contractor.

I'm looking to do about 1000 sq feet of a walkout basement that has existing concrete slab in a cabin that is no where close to any contractor.
