Looking for recommendations for a birthday date night in late Jan, have researched this subreddit thoroughly and nothing is jumping out

Looking for a recommendation. Looking for something with inventive food that isn’t overhyped and oversubscribed. I don’t want to have to plan my life around securing a reservation would like to be able to get one a month in advance without having to be on resy at some specific time. Price not really a factor, we have two kids so don’t get out much so want it to be “nice”, feel pretty bored by a lot of what I see out there so hoping someone here has some useful recommendations. All boroughs are welcome though Staten Island might be a stretch.
