Plug & Play B&O audio upgrades — any good?
I’m looking to upgrade the B&O audio on my ‘22 Badlands two-door. (Yes, I understand it’s more difficult than the base system to upgrade.)
Priorities: - Keep factory looks as much as possible - Keep factory space (I pack my truck to the gills when camping/overlanding and can’t afford to lose cargo space) - All mods reversible without damage
I don’t need/want a booming system, I just want a bit more low end and especially improved clarity (podcasts are brutal at highway speeds). Perhaps a bit more volume, too. I listen to all types of music.
Is there a consistently well-reviewed setup that is more-or-less plug and play? Will pay for pro install (I put stereos in my cars in the ‘90s and ‘00s and I’m over it). Do I need to add an amp, or do I have a shot at being happy with a drop-in speaker kit like the one from Alpine like this?
I’m not expecting miracles or a competition-grade setup, but I do want a meaningful and noticeable improvement.
