How Long Does Epic Games Account Recovery Usually Take?

This is my first Reddit post, so apologies if I make any mistakes. Last Sunday afternoon, I lost access to my Fortnite account. The email and password were changed, locking me out completely. I acted quickly and submitted an account recovery request with the following information:

• My location (city/state)
• My original username, along with several previous usernames I’ve used
• The original email used to create the account, along with a verification code to prove I still have access to it
• Some payment information (I included the card I most often use for purchases, though I’ve since located some receipts in case they’re needed)

I submitted my request about 30 minutes after receiving the email about the changes. To follow up, I also started a live chat with Epic Support through my alternate account to ask how long the process might take. Over the next three days, I opened about four live chats referencing the same request ID. Each time, I was told the tool used to process account recovery requests typically takes about three days.

However, that three-day mark passed on Wednesday without a resolution. On Wednesday night, I contacted support again and received a general response about delays, both in the live chat and via email. It’s now Friday morning, and I’ve only received two follow-up emails (on Wednesday and Friday) saying the process will take several days.

For those who’ve gone through this before, how long did it take to recover your account? Is there anything I can do to speed up the process? I’m worried because I can see someone else is playing on my account and has already changed my username.
