What's everyone's choice of mulch?

I'm a fairly new gardener. Last year I got some good deals and used strulch and bloomin amazing across the garden. It's all broken down now and I'd like to add more mulch across my beds.

Interested to know what other gardeners are using? I'm very much a rookie so I don't understand if more expensive mulches are worth the spend, Vs the likes of bark etc
