Vivoactive 5 or buy a new Apple Watch?
Hi everyone! I recently cracked the screen of my apple watch :( so I'm in the market for a new watch to track my workouts. While I was perfectly happy with my Apple Watch, there were a few things I didn't love about it, like how horrible Spotify was on it, and the battery life. I'm debating between getting a new Apple Watch SE or switching to a Garmin Watch. The features I regularly used on my watch were:
- Tracking my weightlifting workouts (just the amount of time and heart rate during certain exercises)
- Tracking my outdoor runs/walks
- Tracking sleep (different stages and time asleep)
- Listening to music during runs without my phone (I hate carrying my phone during runs)
- Resting heart rate
I really don't need any other functions, and I'm looking for something relatively cheap, ideally under $400 CAD pre-tax. So far I've found the Garmin vivoactive 5 seems to tick all of these boxes.
For those of you with an IPhone and currently have a Garmin watch, or switched from an Apple Watch to Garmin, what are some of the features/differences you've noticed, and would you recommend switching?
