My husband can’t pass gas

Hello, my husband had the surgery about 36 hours ago and still can’t pass gas and it is making me worry . He is getting bad pain from it. He has taken gas x and the laxatives that are prescribed to him and also some pretty serious pain killers . I’m just wondering if anyone else has had this problem? And , What should I do to help him?

UPDATE: GAS PASSED !!! 🥳🎉💨 never been happy to smell that absolutely foul stench…. 😀
