Service Manual for Older 1990-2010 Generac Generators (Rare)
Our home came with one of these older generators. In our case, model 0607-2 14KW 1800rpm with Fiat 1.6L liquid cooled engine (NG). I'd like to communicate with fellow owners as I always seem to have issues I need to address with the unit. Currently I'm dealing with an overspeed shutdown due to the governor control board not sending signals to move the stepper motor.

If you are familiar with how the governor should be adjusted on this engine, I need help with that. It has a label on it that reads Model CA 55 but I cannot find anything about it online, in particular, its adjustment procedure. And I'm not certain which unit in the attached service manual refers to mine.
Since the stepper motor is not getting any signal from the governor control board, its not moving the throttle arm at all. So I have to manually adjust the throttle. I can barely get it to go down to closed throttle to get it to sputter for fuel, but then when its barely opened back up, maybe less than a quarter throttle and the engine speeds past 72hz overspeed.
