how square-cube law DESTROYS large hybrid creations
I see a lot of people making 'large hybrids' by adding blue whale DNA, and as a guy who has finally created a massive hybrid that ACTUALLY WORKS I want to tell you all you need to know about creating large hybrids, and why its actually much harder creating larger hybrids compared to medium sized ones.(stuff like a 40 ton spino, a 5 ton ape etc)
1.bones
When an animal is scaled up, the mass increases much faster than the strength of its bones. The strength of a bone increases with the square of the scaling factor (the area of the cross-section of the bone), but the mass increases with the cube of the scaling factor (volume). This means that the larger the animal becomes, the less able its bones are to support the increased weight. what this means is that you essentially cannot make your hybrid an oversized version of the original base animal you chose, and if you dare, your hybrid will literally break its bones before it can even fight the indom 2.0
This is the reason why you cannot have a monkey x3 the size, this is the reason why you cannot have a T rex that weighs 40 tons, and why you cannot make an oversized elephant (looking at you Samson)
this is the reason why i struggled this much in making my hybrid, i will disclose the details after submitting to goji center, i don't want anyone to steal my ideas :) :)
2.thermo issues
another thing people here ignore when creating their own oversized hybrids is thermoregulation.
this is the same logic, even if you make your hybrid x3 larger, despite the creature being x27 heavier ,the surface area will only increase by x9, what this means your hybrid will likely suffer from these following issues.
- hyperthermia, leading to heatstroke (typically above 40C ), organ damage and death
- dehydration leading to kidney issues and imbalance of electrolytes
- reduced immunity system
- cognitive abilities, or permanent brain damage
High temperatures cause proteins and enzymes within brain cells to denature (break down), making them unable to function properly. This process is similar to how cooking an egg causes its proteins to coagulate, leading to brain damage and cognitive issues.
3.metabolism and Oxygen
same story, the cross-section area is x9 but the oxygen demands is x27, same story, this means your hybrid ,if its size is vastly increased, won't even have the right adaptations to be able to breathe.
and the worst part is metabolism, if your hybrid doesn't have the right metabolism, it will likely die from the said heatstroke/hyperthermia, same logic as the last issues
4.speed
last is speed, lets say your hybrid has a scaling factor of x3 (since 3 is easy to understand),its muscle mass increases by only x9 whilst the energy required to make the same move is x27, so again, making an ape x5 the size will make it significantly slower and less agile.
so there you have it, this is how square-cube law completely ruins your hybrids(if your hybrid is a scaled-up version of the original creature) than it will 100% not work unless you give it the correct adaptations that i did, or else the square-cube law will come and haunt your dreams.......
