Le fleur Ushanka

Hello people! I am currently making my own le fleur ushanka, and I think I need some help. I have seen some people make their own, and so I am just making a general post asking for tips and tricks for making one. I dont want to pay 225$, and I want to make them in different colors. If anyone has some sewing tips, patternmaking tips, etc. It would be greatly appreciated!!
