I’m so horrified as a viewer

Sorry if this doesn’t exactly fit but I need somewhere to express how I’m feeling and also maybe for others who have followed the family as a whole.

I started watching them when I was 9/10, late 2015 into 2016. I stopped watching in 2019-2020. I am horrified, I still can’t process that it’s come to this. Anyone else feeling this? I’m sure.

Another layer to this, and I don’t say this to be snarky but to fully explain how I’m feeling:

(Edit: to clarify, not trying to claim I was the only person who concerned but to show that it was not mainstream to criticise them on social media or family vloggers generally! Just since the arrest I’ve been thinking about the juxtaposition of that time period to now, people not knowing who they were to it being everywhere.)

I made a Reddit thread on concern over 8 Passengers through YTFamilyVloggers in 2019, on a different account, when it was a very small subreddit. To go from struggling to get anyone to listen to this absolutely horror show is mind boggling to me. (For reference, I ended up deleting the thread as people either didn’t know who they were, didn’t think it was snark worthy I believe and something to do with how I formatted the post).

Going from being unable to find anyone talking about it to worldwide news coverage of something worse than I could have ever imagined. In 2021 it became much more known and things just got progressively worse. You could see it was bad, but this? It’s freaking me out, those poor poor kids.

When you were a kid watching these channels, it was this comforting family and extended family and now it’s worse than you could ever imagine.

I hope those kids are safe now.
