Choosing a main - please gush about yours

TL;DR - I get stuck picking characters to focus on, and am looking for some input (I also just like reading people talk about the characters in this game). Would love to hear people gush about their mains.

So, as many have people have come to ask: Im asking for some input in choosing a main to focus on. Im aware that there’s no right answer anyone can give and that this is kind of arbitrary- I also just kind of like reading people talk about their characters.

Im new to fighting games and have just recently hit floor 6(starting to think I fluked my way there honestly). I’m aware that at this level I’m a fool and I know nothing.

I play a couple of characters at what I’d consider to be the same skill level- and I really do think most of the cast are cool and fun. So far I’ve played mostly:

• Sol: I’ve played him the most, I appreciate the offensive options and love the feeling of constant pressure/what feels like bullying in the corner. He also annoys my friends.

• Ky: I really like the rhythm of his BnBs, he has a tool for a lot of occasions and my play with him feels more deliberate. He also annoys my friends.

• Anji: Successfully reading my opponent makes me feel smarter than I am, his inputs don’t scare me (yet) and Rock Parade is a top 3 song from the OST. He also annoys my friends.

• Leo: Really like that his play style feels like a frantic scramble (or I suck), he seemingly has a lot of tools at his disposal and his blender is extremely satisfying.

• Sin: He’s just a lot of fun. He feels like a cool marriage of Sol and Ky (he’s got both a tyrant rage and an RTL and that’s wicked). That’s it, he’s just really fun to play and slide across the map with.

• Baiken: Mirror of the world makes me feel like I’m in a boss fight. She’s badass and her moves feel feral, and tethering people is an amazing mechanic.
